Democracy or Communism

Different countries have different policies to fit in. George Washington decided that democracy was the suitable way to help the United States to become the best country in the world, and communism was the for the Chinese to become solitary.

China is more familiar to me than the United States. I had been taught that Chinese Communist Party is sacred, and it is glorious to become one of the members of the Party. The contribution that Mao had accomplished with our party members is indelible to our nation. He was a great leader before he started the Culture Revolution. It caused immeasurable influence to GDP, the fall of traditional Chinese culture and morality, death of tens of thousands people, the countless destruction of historical relics, and the result of it was the loss of people's loyalty and reliance to Mao and the Party Members.

According to my analysis by studying Chinese modern history,  Mao's motivation of starting the Culture revolution was to protect his power and position that might be taken from a heinous crime he made.

From the Culture Revolution, we can see two negative effects from communism. Frist, the reason why Mao had the ability to make Culture Revolution happened was he had almost all the power in his hand. People think about what Mao did in the past when Xi become the "core" of Chinese Communist Party. I understand their concern but the generation is different. Back to Mao's time, people needed someone to save them and the country, but now, people need someone to develop their country.

Second, communism makes the government of the country too strong, which means everything belongs to your country. For example, if you work hard on keeping a factory running, but no matter what that factory doesn’t belong to you, would you want to do your job?  Even if you don’t work at all, you can still get your payment every month. Why do you need to work then? I know Mao wanted everyone at least wouldn't starve everyday when he made this policy but the defect cannot be ignored because it increased the percentage of corruptions and incapable officials. Xi has been doing a good job of firing those corrupt officials and lowing down the privilege to all those who work for the government.

I know this phenomenon happens everywhere. This makes me think of what Hilary said about giving some benefits to middle-class people. Isn’t it the same thing as what Mao did back in his time? If those people don’t need to pay to get into college and become one of the members of the government of the United States, what do you think they can do except for still being lazy? The result of the corruption slower the development of China's GDP even it seems like our GDP is increasing a lot outwardly.

I have no authority to deny either one policies from two powerful countries. I wished our country can change to democracy but when I have some understand of how bad of gun controlling in America, I'm really thankful about we are a communism country. However, we don’t have such freedom than American citizens. It's hard to imagine if America became a communism country. What makes America so powerful now is the unique policy, democracy, and it also forms America's culture.

In a conclusion, the policies should not take any censure because we are those who came out with them, and besides, why can't the policies work if they worked before? Why can't people figure challenges out from another point of view instead of saying everything's wrong?
